QuickMap allows you to
upload QuickMap to Google Earth, or Download Google to QuickMap, giving you access to QuickMap property
information combined with Google photos.
Of course you will need to
download and install Google Earth first. Google, Inc. provides three
product levels to Google Earth, which you should investigate before
using Google Earth with QuickMap. For
the most timely and complete Google Earth licensing options, please
consult Google's website and license agreement at http://earth.google.com/downloads.html.
To Paste Google Photos into QuickMap,
Select Copy Image off the Google Edit -> Copy menu, and
without closing Google, Select CTRL/V in QuickMap. QuickMap
will automatically position the photos in the correct place.
Note: Requires version 7.0 QuickMap or better.
QuickMap also allows any QuickMap layer to be overlaid in Google by
simply turning them on. In the example below, we turned on roads and
parcel boundaries, then added a blue parcel
and labelled it Christchurch Poytechnic. To make the parcels
see through, we set the polygons as "hollow" using the symbology
editor, but left the roads opaque. Note: Requires Version 6.2 QuickMap or
better.
