Scenario
Postal Addresses for mortgage holders from BNZ and KiwiBank Limited with mortgages of more than two years old.
| 1. | Zoom the map to the required area. Right mouse click on layer Two Year Old (Sth) and select Filter Layer |
| 2. | Filter the layer based on requirements The filtered records will now be displayed on the Two Year Old (Sth) Layer. |
| 3. | Control/R will bring up the Report dialog box. Step 1 – Select the Two Year Old (Sth) layer to report records from. Step 3 – Select Screen Extent |
| 4. | Click the Advanced Options Tab at the top and place a tick in the box to open the Report when created. Click Run Report. |
| 5. | Select fields from both Two Year Old and Appellation Tables to report on, OK |
This will generate a Two Year Old.csv file.
It will also highlight the selected features on the map.
| 6. | Keep the selection points on the map and repeat the Reporting process (Control/R), this time selecting to report records from Parcel where feature intersects records selected from Two Year Old (Sth).  |
| 7. | Click the Advanced Options Tab at the top and place a tick in the box which will just select the records without reporting them and click Run Selection. |
| 8. | This will now highlight the parcels involved. |
| 9. | Run a third Report, Reporting records from Address Full (Sth) with selected features from Parcel  Select required Fields. OK  This will generate an Address Full (Sth).csv file. |
The link between the two files is the Parcel Par id field.
It is possible to use programs such as Microsoft Access or Excel to link the two files.
