Are You Sure That You Want To Move This File Without Its Properties?

While not a problem relating to Quickmap, the “Are you sure that you want to move this file without its properties?” message can come up when trying to move Quickmap files from one drive to another.

Property Loss

Are you sure that you want to move this file without its properties?

The file (Filename) has properties that can’t be moved to the
new location.

This happens when you move a file to a drive that uses a file system that doesn’t support the properties of the file held in the file’s current location, for example, if you copy a file from an NTFS (Windows) drive to a USB drive formatted with an FAT file system. An example of the properties you might lose could be user permissions stating that the file is read-only to certain users or groups.

For Quickmap users moving Quickmap data, it’s probably safe to click “Yes” if the file you’re moving doesn’t need to have any special security on it. Otherwise you can find a drive with the same type of files system to move the file onto instead.
